Get vaccinated now before the flu season starts
Flu season usually begins in October and can last through May. Get vaccinated now before the flu season starts.
Every flu season is different, and influenza infection can affect people differently. Even healthy people can get very sick from the flu and spread it to others. A flu vaccine is needed every year because flu viruses are constantly changing.
Everyone who is at least 6 months of age should get a flu vaccine this season. It’s especially important for some people to get vaccinated. Those people include:
-People who are at high risk of developing serious complications like pneumonia if they get sick with the flu. (pregnant women, people over 65, people w/ asthma or diabetes, etc.)
-People who live with or care for others who are high risk of developing serious complications.
* People who have a severe allergy to chicken eggs should not get the vaccine.

Dr. Maki was very good in explaining what was going on, and less than 3 days later I had gotten rid of a cough that I had previously had for more than a month. Lilly

Heart disease and stroke are two of the leading causes of death in the United States but getting at least 150 minutes a week (2 hours and 30 minutes) of moderate-intensity aerobic activity can put you at a lower risk for these diseases.
